SOCIAL CARE CAMPAIGN

Workers in social care are often the worst paid and most exploited- many not even receiving the basic minimum wage. Citizens UK has a campaign including a charter calling for decent pay and conditions in the sector.

THE LIVING WAGE

£7.85 per hour
(£9.15 in London)

These are the independently set rates for what constitutes a Living Wage.

THE MINIMUM WAGE

We are campaigning for a LIVING WAGE for all working people, but there is legal protection in the form of the National Minimum Wage, which is:

Age 21+ = £6.50 per hour
18-20= £5.13 per hour
16-17= £3.79 per hour
